National Independent Laboratory Association (NILA) is a trade association for independent laboratories that provides a forum for the sharing of technical and business expertise.

2008 Competitive Bidding History

URGENT!
IMMEDIATE ACTION REQUESTED!

Senate Democrat Leadership and Senate Finance Committee staff are calling on all organizations that support the House-passed Medicare legislation (HR 6331) to contact their Senators who voted against ending debate (cloture) on S. 3101 to urge them to vote for cloture and for final passage of  “The Medicare Improvement for Patients and Providers Act of 2008” (HR 6331).  Click for a list of all Senators and how they voted on cloture on June 12, 2008.

We are therefore asking all NILA and AAB members to call and email those Senators who voted against cloture (or didn’t vote at all) and urge them to vote in favor of cloture and final passage of  “The Medicare Improvement for Patients and Providers Act of 2008” (HR 6331).

Also click for a sample letter for you to personalize and forward to your Senators via fax or email (Do NOT send by regular mail).

To contact your senator via email or fax, go to AAB’s website  [www.aab.org]  and under NEWS on the upper right-hand side of the page, click on the link to the U.S. Senate’s website.  In the upper right-hand corner of the Senate homepage, use the drop down box on Find Your Senators and then click on your state.  Contact information for your senators will appear.  Click on the link next to Web Form to send an email message.  Fax and telephone numbers should also be available on your Senator’s website. Or click "home" on this web page - SaveOurLabS.com - to find your Senators.

If you do not have internet access, call the Senate switchboard at 202-224-3121 and ask to be connected to your Senator’s office.  Ask to speak to the Senator’s Legislative Aide who handles health care issues.
